The two of us...

We wish you a Merry Christmas and may the true spirit of the season last for more than a trip to Nordies and then Hawaii... There is so much to be grateful for. Counting our friends as blessings... The ones we talk with and those who are gone. There is more to this than meets the eye. Here's to you and yours. May you find the time to enjoy what really matters...

..and now the new deal.......
If I were young (and 55 is not really), I'd wonder seriously about this world that is forced on us. I felt uncomfortable for so long and never knew why. On some level, I knew that most of us are sad because we have never learned to be honest with ourselves about our need to be happy. We feel one thing, alter our thinking about how we feel and then say what we hope others will want to hear. We really need each other and spend a lot of our energy in futile attempts to prove we are independent. We do awful things to each other.. War. It's the little things that knock us out everyday. 10,000 things. All interdependent. All important. If you change yourself, you change the world. Please Do it. Now. It's getting late. We need you.Thursday, September 14, 2006

Sinead O'Connor
Perhaps she should have thought more carefully before ripping the pope's picture in half, but she found something strong inside with this one....It's the music.. roots.

Thomas Merton

Read one of Thomas Merton's books. People fight because they prefer possessions to people... We suffer in direct proportion to our attachment to things....hmmmm. I like things. Think this is the entrance to Gethsemane. No other God but....

Canadian Rockies

This is the Canadian Rockies... pictures sent by friends who were hiking and camping there for a couple of weeks... there are lots of pictures of Glaciers, Lakes and Waterfalls. I look at this place and I think .... what kind of force created this beauty?

What's Going On Down Under?

there are always more to things than meets the eye... and it makes me wonder.. if ignorance is bliss then how come most folks aren't happy?
